You can do turbo with mods, get the Legendary Dark Knight mode, and much more via modding. PC doesn't have the special edition, but that's hardly a loss given the extra content you potentially get. However, if you only have a console, then there's no reason not to grab the Special Edition.

dmc 3 special edition that is on steam shouldnt be even on steam. It has a terrible port and because of that you need to install mods to fix the performance, low resolution and make the controller work. hd collection contains 1,2 and 3 on hd textures, lights, efects compared to the originals.
VirtuousWrath15 years ago#8. A lot of Vergi's attacks are weaker than Dante's but to compensate, Vergil can constantly shoot Summoned Swords while attacking. Get a fast enough trigger finger and Vergil can do a little bit more than Dante. But Vergil has no single attack as strong as Dante's Real Impact so Dante>Vergil.
This, combined with the fact that 3 is already the hardest in the series and the non-special edition lacks gold orbs, it's a real nightmare to go through. Having played through the HD Collection, it's great. Looks fantastic (well, as good as a remastered PS2 game can look), runs great, and fixed the aforementioned issues.

Okay so I installed DMC 3. I ran it and it booted up fine and everything. I know the port sucks so I hear about this style switcher mod that fixes a lot of issues. I install that mod and followed the instructions to the letter (the instructions provided within the mod itself). I then tried booting the game and nothing happens.
