Yes. The in-game co-ordinate system is based upon meters. So, the X;Y;Z co-ordinates correspond to the number of meters from the origin of the map in each direction. That is, making it easier to read, not a higher speed :) btw, if you have the "gold" version, it should already be 1.5.2 with the going east expansion.
